“Leave it to students to understand the importance of a backpack.”

Formed on three pillars

  • Through facilitating the bag drives, the service pillar collaborates directly with shelters and other organizations to achieve the primary goal of alleviating poverty.

  • The advocacy pillar focuses on establishing policies and hosting campaigns to reduce youth homelessness and combat stigma.

  • The education pillar is responsible for educating the general public about the effects of youth homelessness and how society can effectively address this issue.

  • “I have met with the team and am impressed with their ability to articulate the mission and vision of their program.”

Victor Casle, CEO of MOB Beauty

  • “Once I was made aware of this endeavour and the drive for which powered the origin of the message they are reaching, I knew I had to help but not only that, become associated with it.”

Cassandra Richardson, Interior Designer at CR Interior Design

  • “When I look at what has been achieved from an entrepreneurial perspective these women did it right - they identified a problem and they set out to solve it. They researched to fully understand the problem and they brainstormed to find solutions.

    Patrick Heffron, CFO at StickerYou

Completely student operated

In September 2021, we assembled a team of post-secondary students who have been instrumental in building our organization and laying the groundwork for Bags of Promise's future.

Each individual has demonstrated a commitment to achieving our shared objective of alleviating poverty among homeless youth.
